"Grotto Gallery" is a new addition to Pfeiffer Winery.
Grand Opening
October 17 4-6 p.m.
Appetizers and Wine Tastings

Features work by Eugene bronze sculptor, Steve Reinmuth

Junction City, --Pfeiffer Winery continues to lead the charge for innovation among the South Willamette Valley wineries. The sustainable vineyard and solar-powered winery has just added an art dimension to it's list creating the "Grotto Gallery."

Located in the candle-lit tasting room, owners and winemakers, Robin and Danuta Pfeiffer say the gallery makes sense because art and wine are close companions. "Both require us to slow down our lives and linger," Robin Pfeiffer says, "And we hope to become a destination winery and gallery where people can do just that."

"The tasting room resembles a cave with a tunnel-like entrance, and the ambience particularly lends itself to three-dimensional art, spotlighting the magnificent bronze sculptures of Steven Reinmuth'," Danuta Pfeiffer says. "His work is touchable, many pieces literally resonate with the sound of water, or bells, or move in magical ways. They are feasts for all the senses," she said.

Eventually the Pfeiffer's hope is to expand their gallery into the barrel room of the winery. "It would be wonderful to wander through oak barrels filled with wine and come across a fluid sculpture that makes you pause," she says.

A Grand Opening for the Grotto Gallery is Saturday, October 17, from 4 to 6 p.m. with appetizers and free wine tasting. The winery is located 7 miles west of Junction City off High Pass Road. Justfollow the signs.
